I had an audible intake of breath when I pulled this doll put of the shipping box… so beautiful! I searched off and on for over a year trying to find the perfect first “bigger” baby doll for my toddler, and I kept coming back to this one. I wanted it to have open close eyes, which isn’t too common anymore, and to be the perfect size, and my daughter wanted it to have a bed. Check, check, and check. It’s also weighted and soft, but not too soft, which gives it that realistic feel and ‘huggability’. We have another Adora doll, a small bathtime doll, and it smells horrible so I was a little nervous. This doll smells nice, though, similar to flower-scented things like scratch and sniff stickers or markers, and it isn’t too strong, in my opinion. I made my daughter cover her eyes before I held it out in front of her, and she was in awe. I think this will be her special baby for quite some time. It’s a girl, and she has named it Gerald.
