My 7 year old daughter and I think this Polly Pocket play set is very cute. Not only does it look fun, it actually is interesting and entertaining to play with. My daughter was able to set this up mostly by herself. The only thing she needed help with was attaching the rollercoaster track. The illustrated instructions on configuring the track pieces were a little confusing at first. There are no written instructions for this part. The illustrations showed only 3 separate pieces of the track when there are a total of 5 pieces. If you look closely at the illustrated pieces, you will see that 2 of them are made by attaching a couple of the smaller pieces together. It would have been easier and quicker to completely assemble this if the instruction sheet had not left out the part about connecting some of the rollercoaster track pieces before attaching it to the play set. This play set is aesthetically pleasing enough to be displayed on my daughter’s shelf when she’s not playing with it. All of the included pieces fit into the play set for convenient storage. My daughter gets this off the shelf and plays with it regularly. Her favorite features are the Ferris wheel and the rollercoaster. The Ferris wheel dispenses various treats when the star knob handle is pulled up and the wheel is spun. The dispensed items are an assortment of tiny accessories for the Polly Pocket doll figures. I love how this is not just a one-time event. The Ferris wheel can be reloaded with the treat items over and over again, for endless hours of fun. My daughter enjoys operating the rollercoaster by pushing the car down the tracks. As a collector of vintage and new Polly Pockets, I would definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone who likes miniature play sets. It is one of the more detailed and durable sets that I have seen in this new line of Polly Pocket toys. The manufacturer’s recommended age for this is 4 and up.
