I’m loving the overall look and quality of this, but do have a couple of issues along the way. The assembly directions were very easy to follow as a whole, and minus one little issue, everything fit together great. I would recommend when doing the roof, assemble the entire roof together first, before slotting it onto the rest of the building – the holes for the triangular piece that keeps the roof panels attached to each other were not well aligned and it’s a huge fight to get it in place if the roof is already screwed to the rest of the house frame. I ended up taking off both panels, getting them attached to each other, and then putting it on and it went on without any struggle from there. It does look very unfinished, despite the paint on the external pieces and room dividers, so if that bothers you, be prepared to put in some work on it. There’s a lot of visible screw holes, and the front side of each floor is a smoothed but still visibly unfinished edge. The finished house is very sturdy. Moving it around is fine, I’ve been lifting it on and off my table and shuffling it about the office both during assembly and after, and everything still feels firmly connected. No issues with screws slipping so far. The paint job is consistent, no noticeable brush lines or anything like that, though I wish it had extended to those unfinished edges on the floor layers, or the ladders. It did have a very strong smell out of the box, so would recommend giving it a few minutes to air out before starting assembly. My main actual complaint though is that the measurements for it are wrong. The measurements in the listing images and description all say 24x12x31, but the actual measurements are all about 1/2″ shorter than that – which isn’t a huge difference, but does matter when you’re planning to use this as a project piece that was planned for a certain size.
