We got this as a gift for our two daughters aged 9 and 7. In the description, they are indicated to be for girls and boys. I thought this meant that either could play with them. My 7 year old was very upset when she found out her baby was a boy, it has anatomical parts. I wish this would have been clearer in description because my daughters have not really been exposed to boy parts and she was horrified. Other than that, these dolls are made pretty well, we did just have to get a different one for my youngest.
