We originally got this as a birthday gift from a friend and looking at the packaging I assumed it would be a toy we enjoyed opening, played with for a few days, and then got bored of. But actually the fairy inside the egg is really cool – even my older child plays with it. The egg itself is a little clunky (ours broke right away) and honestly not needed. The fairy inside however is a really clever flying toy. It will hover in midair on its own, I mean really hover. It will move up if you put your hand underneath, fly left and right with a bit of wind. It’s pretty durable too – we haven’t managed to break ours yet and the kids are pretty rough with it. The downside is that it needs to charge a lot and only lasts for a short time before needing to get plugged back in. Also if you have very low ceilings it might not bring quite as much fun. But we liked it so much that we are buying one for a friends birthday.
