18 inch Full Silicone Baby Doll Boy – Realistic Reborn Baby Dolls, Christmas and Birthday Gifts for Daughter, Niece and Granddaughter

To start this off, yes, I will be returning it. To get through the few positives really fast, its sizing is accurate, the paint work is decently realistic, the smell wasn’t awful when it first arrived like I expected, and it seems like it had the potential to be a really good reborn, in both quality and durability, especially for the price. However these positives are not enough to bring the rating above one star because there is no reason why it shouldn’t have been matted. I’m having to powder it twice a day on days of no handling outside of the powdering to keep it from getting sticky and tacky. Additionally, I have to powder before every time I do hold it or the feeling of the tacky “skin” makes the experience more irritating than therapeutic. Keep in mind for all the powdering sessions, outside of them, the doll has been in a zip up newborn sleeper and hat, as well as being swaddled in a receiving blanket. Additionally, there is some very light peeling, kinda like a sunburn peel on a person, that leads me to believe that they also didn’t properly clean off the residue from the mold release spray before painting it. Overall, unless you’re a silicone doll painter and are willing and want to take the time to strip it completely in order to clean the residue off properly, repaint it, and properly matte it, it’s not worth the headache. Ps, the last two pics are right after powdering and the first two are about 4 hours with no handling later.
