Planner Ten (May) First Grade Lessons: Advanced Alphabet & Language: Part Two

Description Note: Once you have completed Planner One you can do the rest of the year’s planners in any order. Holiday and seasonal activities for May are included in Planner Ten. However, they are provided as extras so if you are living in an area of the world where the season is different or you don’t celebrate a certain holiday you will not be left out – you will still have a full month of activities! SPECIFICS: Planner Ten reviews the letters G, J, T, M, N, V, W, A, E, I, O, U & Y in a more advanced manner. However, the lessons in this month can also be used to introduce students to these letters for the first time. Students knit a teddy bear with a scarf this month, make a bag, work on form drawing stories, perform a play, do some origami, learn four pentatonic recorder songs using the unique and easy Earthschooling method, and learn to cook four different items in the kitchen including bagels. This block also covers some advanced language learning activities for those students that already know the alphabet. Students will enjoy many wonderful stories this month as always. This monthly planner also comes with mp3s for the basic verses, mp3s for the monthly verses, and three teacher support documents: Waldorf 101, My Waldorf Year Planner and Waldorf Basics.
