Planner Two (September) First Grade Lessons: Beginning Alphabet & Language, Form Drawing

Description Note: Once you have completed Planner One you can do the rest of the year’s planners in any order. Holiday and seasonal activities for September are included in Planner Two. However, they are provided as extras so if you are living in an area of the world where the season is different or you don’t celebrate a certain holiday you will not be left out – you will still have a full month of activities! SPECIFICS: In Planner Two students learn about five different kinds of form drawing including the ribbon motif and running forms. Students are also introduced to the letters Y, L, D, B, R, P through stories, motion, verses and activities. Students will learn to knit a pencil case and a stuffed animal and will learn another wonderful knitting story (they learn their first knitting story in Planner One). Students will learn to purl this month. Students will learn a pentatonic recorder song this month, and will learn to cook/bake four special items including Banock Bread, will make a nature bag, natural gum, felt necklaces and much more. Pictures are provided with each lesson to guide the teacher. This monthly planner also comes with mp3s for the basic verses, mp3s for the monthly verses, and three teacher support documents: Waldorf 101, My Waldorf Year Planner and Waldorf Basics.
